Newborns

Award winning photographer in Carmarthenshire, South Wales Former Midwife and Neonatal Nurse

My Newborn sessions are baby led and safety is my priority.

Your baby is in safe hands.

I look forward to seeing you at your Newborn session

Newborn photography sessions should be booked as early as possible as my diary fills up fast, ideally after your dating scan when 12 weeks pregnant.

The date booked should be close to your due date, we can then alter it if baby comes early or late.

The best time for you're babies Newborn session is when they are between 4 and 14 days old, and a little later sometimes if breastfeeding, so we can get the sleepy curled up poses.

Newborn sessions tend to take the longest as baby needs to be fed, changed or settled in between taking photos. These sessions can therefore take 2-3 hours depending on baby. Therefore I only do 1 a day.

Siblings are welcome and parents can be included.

I have all the props and outfits needed for baby. You just bring milk and a dummy if you use one.

Around two weeks after the session, I will invite you to come back to view your fully edited photos on a large screen, so you can see them in their full beauty. There will be a gallery of at least 30 photos to choose from. (normally around 50).

You can then choose your package and make any orders of wall art or photo books etc. if you so wish.

At a push I can pose babies up to about 6 weeks but for older babies I recommend a natural lifestyle session where the emphasis is more on relaxed posing.
